Well, we are finally on our journey. We left our house at 4 am
on the 23rd and arrived into Beijing at 3pm on the 24th. The
travel was relatively uneventful and we are settling into our
hotel exhausted but glad to be here. We walked down the street
of our hotel and bought some bottled water and tried to buy diet
coke. (Those of you who know Kathleen know her love of diet
coke). We have discovered some Coke Light which resembles diet
coke but does not have quite the same flavor. It will serve its
need to provide for her caffeine addiction but she will be happy
to return home to the original. Kayleigh and Brayden would be
happy because we stopped in a MacDonalds. Again, it was a little
different than home but the fries tasted the same.
We have met our guide Joe and he is very nice and will pick us
up in the am to do so some sightseeing. We will hopefully have
some pictures then. Jeff did not want to take any yet because he
did want to look like a tourist (as if we look like anything
else).
We miss you all and send us any messages if you like.

We have been thinking about you a lot and will call
