“I have prayed for this
child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him.”

We witness a miracle every time
a child enters into life. But those who make their journey home
across time & miles, growing within the hearts of those who wait
to love them, are carried on the wings of destiny and placed
among us by God's very own hands.

Shen Keke is a beautiful 2 ½ year old little girl who is living
in the Guangdong province not too far from Hong Kong. We are
told that she likes to look at books, play with blocks, and eat
crackers. Very much like her brothers and sister. She is said to
be shy, timid, and is fairly introverted. Very much unlike her
brothers and sister. :) When we come home, we will probably
slowly introduce her to our extended family and friends because
everything will be such an enormous adjustment for her.
We had been praying and waiting for that day we would receive
our referral call. Little did we know just how soon it would
come. On Tuesday, May 13, 2008, we got “the call” from our
agency, months before we anticipated! God has perfect timing and
we trust in His plan for our family.
We have no idea when we will travel, but anticipate going to
China this fall.
Please pray for our Maeve. She is already her own person, with
her own likes and dislikes, friends and caregivers, and
personality. We will be taking her away from everything familiar
to her and plunging her into a ready made family. She will
likely be scared, grieving, and angry with us. Pray that she
bonds with us quickly and someday is as happy to be with us, as
we are to be with her. We are definitely the lucky ones. |
