OUR ITINERARY

9/7 - Leave Detroit - lose 12 hours because of the time change.

9/8 - Arrive in Guangzhou exhausted and smiling :)

9/9 - Free day (Shop, rest, tour, pop Ambien to adjust to the time change)

9/10 - Gotcha Day! @ 3:00 pm we meet Maeve! Be still, my heart!

9/11 - Official Adoption Day, Forever Family Day, Whatever you call it - we belong to her! Hopefully she takes it easy on us. ;-)

9/12 - Apply for Maeve's passport, teach Maeve the happiness brought by Play-Doh and Little People. Oh yes, quit laughing Jenny, the Fisher Price Little People are going to China!

9/13 - 9/14 - Mid Autumn Festival or Moon Festival (Stuff ourselves with lots of traditional mooncakes and lament about not being able to watch the Buckeyes!)

9/15 - Free time (Shop, rest, tour - but probably shop! Well, we do need LOTS of squeaky shoes)

9/16 - Our 13th Wedding Anniversary! We'll probably need to shop.

9/17 - Free time (Shop, rest, tour - do you see a theme yet? Mike's poor wallet!)

9/18 - Wait for adoption paperwork

9/19 - Receive notary certificates and Maeve's passport

9/20 - Maeve's physical exam and visa photo will be taken (Someone please sign our guestbook with the scores of the Buckeye game?)

9/21 - A tour of something amazing, no doubt!

9/22 - Our consulate appointment (My understanding is that we don't actually attend this but wait anxiously in our room to make sure everything goes smoothly ;-)

9/23 - We receive Maeve's visa packet (Almost as good as a Christmas gift...) And some last minute shopping, probably for another suitcase to fit our purchases in! Don't tell Mike...

9/24 - Leave China for home!
