Today was a day of many milestones. It was not extraordinary,
but we had multiple small events which made up a LONG day.
We awoke this morning after a full nights rest. Nothing to brag
about just very pleasant. We got around with all the normal
events. We went to the zoo and then had PBJs in the room before
shopping.
Feedings, antibiotics and play were all exceptional. Marossie is
trusting Amy(her favorite buddy) more and more.* They have a
game between them. Marossie just walks backward until she
topples over into Mom's lap. Have some video, I think, of a very
happy girl and her mother, doing this for quite a few minutes.
Amy got her to laugh and once that started it was on.* She is
very ticklish around her midsection and loves the attention,
even from me. Daddy was almost not so bad today (she finally
came to me).* I was ecstatic!!!
After lunch we went walking and shopping through the island on
this very hot and humid day. We came back to the room and
played, while trying to put Marossie down for a nap by four
thirty. That is when the mayhem started. She would have none of
it. After two attempts including a bottle, love, and dance, dad
finally took her to the big bed for about a ten minute sleep.
Not enough!!! Nothing would calm her.
With the Duncan family coming over for Papa Johns Pizza, this
was not a good evening starter. Oh well. The dinner went off
without a hitch. Marossie even nibbled on some crust* after her
half bowl of congee. It was lots of fun eating in the room
instead of going to Lucy's for American food.
We finished watching the movie and the evening was over, not!
Amy fed her and was just about to put her to bed when Marossie
threw up on her.* That stinks!! Then the girls went to the
bathroom for water sports. I cleaned as best I could, but we
will need new linen in the morning. This was all topped off by
the realization that, Marossie is trying her best to cut a mouth
full of teeth this week, all at once (might not be proper
grammar, but it explains her not being right with the world).
Tomorrow is 'medical day,' followed by a trip to a floral park.
It will be an early morning. We will see what it has to offer.
With all the things that have gone wrong today, there are so
many more that went right. This has truly been a fine day with
enough family joy to last a week. Marossie is just blossoming
into a bright eyed girl one minute at a time and her parents are
learning at a much slower rate. We love her even more when a
full on cry hits the air. We see her face wrinkle from the
learning and her mouth curls up from laughter; all is well on
earth!
Love Y'all
James and Amy
