Wishing for Wishes

To welcome and celebrate the birth of a baby, there is a tradition in the northern part of China to make a Bai Jia Bei or “100 Good Wishes Quilt.” It is customary to invite 100 family members and friends to contribute a single piece of fabric. The pieces of fabric are then sewn together into a quilt. The quilt is said to contain the luck, energy and good wishes of all who contributed. It is then given to the baby and is intended to be passed down from generation to generation. We have decided to create this special keepsake for Mary Grace. We can’t wait to wrap her up in her very own Bai Jia Bei, containing all your good wishes, prayers and hopes!

If you’d like to contribute a piece of fabric and a wish for Mary Grace’s quilt, it’s not too late. We’re about halfway there to making this a true “100 Good Wishes Quilt.” Just email us at boeingdriver757@sbcglobal.net if you’d like to have your wish included. Thanks so much to our dear family and friends who have already contributed to this very special legacy for our new daughter and little sister. Your heartfelt wishes and beautiful fabric choices have truly touched our family.
