A picture tells a thousand words. Enjoy the photos for the final
update.
Okay I will say a few things. Wow! What an amazing little girl.
Our family is so lucky to have such a wonderful child. I can’t
imagine our lives without her. It feels like Maya has been with
us from the day she was born. My heart goes out to her mother
and father who will miss the experience we are having with her.
Every day is great! Lindsay and Maya have become great sisters.
Finally every time Tony leaves and returns she doesn’t cling to
me. Maya has completed 6 weeks of swim lessons (imagine that)
and swam in the ocean in the Bahamas for Spring Break. She loves
picking up Lindsay and our carpool from school everyday. She
loves going to Lindsay’s swim meets (probably because all of
Lindsay’s friends drool over her). And now that the weather is
warmer I can’t get her away from the park. Maya is very active
and loves being outdoors. She is growing everyday. Very head
strong and sure of what she wants. Jack is probably one of her
best friends. Maya is talking non-stop. In fact she was at the
doctor the other day and the doctor was amazed at the
pronunciation of her words. It seems learning a second language
in 5 months is a breeze for one year olds. I actually think she
can say the difficult words better than the simple one syllable
words.
Our family has adjusted well to the change. I actually left for
the day and went snowboarding while Tony stayed home with Maya
and Lindsay. Lindsay is now watching Maya while I get out for my
runs. You know how important that is to me. Our lives seemed to
be moving along the same way just with another wonderful person
to share it with.
We will keep in touch!
