Trip to China
All Days  |  Previous Day  |  Next Day

Monday, July 7, 2008

The last two days have been busy getting the Visa paper work ready for Melynda to come home. Yesterday was the medical exam and Visa photo. She was not too fussy at the doctors. She weighed 17.5 lbs and is 28 inches long. She is long and skinny. You can see her picture sitting on the doctor's scale. Melynda is healthy, but a few little ones had ear infections.

Melynda dressed up in her coming home outfit for the photos. We can't believe how different she looks in her Visa photo from her passport photo. We think she is growing. Her cheeks are starting to fill out. It must be all of the rice cereal and eggs that her daddy is feeding her.

Melynda is starting to let me hold her more often. When she gets tired, all she wants is her daddy. Last night she was up every two hours. She is still teething.

We are enjoying taking an morning and afternoon walk. Today, Greg was able to play Badminton with an older gentleman in the square. Melynda laughed at her daddy and enjoyed watching the women dance in the square.

Today our guide is at the consulate finalizing Melynda's Visa and tomorrow she has her swearing in ceremony. We are going to a temple to bless the babies.

Later today we are going to get the babies photo on the red couch. I will post the photos. It should be interesting getting six babies to sit at one time and get their photo taken.

Greg and I are ready to come home on July 10 to see everyone. We can't wait for everyone to meet Melynda.
