Trip to China

We received TA on June 22, just two weeks after LOA! We were shocked to say the very least when our agency called with the good news. Since we were expecting to travel in August, we were very excited to hear that we would be going to China in July. We are dreading the heat, but can’t wait to finally meet Oscar! We decided to arrange for a short tour of Beijing since this is our first time to China. We will be there for the first few days to get acclimated, and then we will be off to Wuhan to meet our son! Chris’s father graciously arranged our travel itinerary. We are incredibly thankful for his generosity for not only arranging our travel, but also for paying for it with his frequent flyer miles. We thank Chris’s parents for all of their love and support in our quest to bring home Oscar. Both of our families have been supportive, and they are very excited to meet Oscar. Travel Itinerary: July 10 - Leave The United States for Tokyo July 11 – Arrive in Guangzhou at 10:35 p.m. July 12 – Leave Guangzhou for Beijing July 13-14 – Tour Beijing July 15 – Leave for Wuhan July 16 – Forever Family Day (We meet Oscar!) July 17-19 - Tour Wuhan, Adoption Paperwork, Visit Orphanage July 20 - Leave for Guangzhou July 23 – Consulate Appointment July 24 – Receive Oscar’s Visa / Oath Ceremony at the U.S. Consulate July 26 – Come home. We arrive back in the U.S. at 7:25 p.m.
