I have to backtrack a little bit so we can get caught up on our
updates. Sorry for the delay…we know all of you want more
photos! Our last full day in Wuhan was a busy one with site
seeing. The heat was unbearable. I’ve lived in Florida for 33
years before moving to Michigan, and I can honestly say the heat
of South Florida does not begin to compare to the atrocious heat
here. I think you can tell by the photos that we look hot, and I
don’t mean that kind of “hot!” Oscar on the other hand, always
seems to look good in his photos even when he looks crabby; he’s
still a cutie pie!
We visited the Hubei Provincial Museum. We especially enjoyed
the chime bells show. Oscar woke up just in time for the music
and he listened intently through the entire show. I think
something magical must have happened because afterwards, Oscar
was a changed little man. He walked for us – a lot – all by
himself!!! We were so proud. He didn’t seem anxious or clingy.
He appeared comfortable and walked through the rest of the
museum holding our hands.
We went to see the Yellow Crane Tower and did a lot of walking.
Chris had a fever and wasn’t doing too well, but he hung in
there for Oscar. Oscar seemed to enjoy Chris carrying him up the
steps towards the Tower. This is when Oscar really started to
bond more with Chris. We enjoyed the beautiful view from the
tower and took many photos. It was very hot and we didn’t think
we were going to make it, but we did. So any families getting
ready for their Wuhan trip definitely go to the tower and take
some photos. It is worth the heat and is probably the best site
to visit in Wuhan. |
