Steve and Patti, I was telling my mom today that so many times we see so many sad and tough things that children have to endure. Its when we see something like this, when a child that does not have much of a future, miraculously have a most incredible life given to them by someone's love and compassion, that we know there is still goodness and mercy in this world. In this case, its not just someone, its two of the kindest, most loving, generous people I have ever met. Patti, since you have joined our family, you have fit right in, always so helpful, so happy, and so caring. You are one of the many great reasons I enjoy our Christmas with our families. I am SO happy for you! I know the baby is so fortunate, and I also know you and Steve's lives will be so enriched by this special little girl. Steve, what can I say, you always have been one of my favorite uncles.....always! There are wonderful memories of my childhood that I will never forget and you were in them. There are too many to list here (slinging John on the sled?? haha), but they wouldn't have been as special had you not been a part of them for the year you were with us. Congratulations on the referral of your Fencheng girl - she has a such a beautiful face! Our youngest was named Feng Xue He (she's now 28 mos old) is also from Fengcheng. Hi and congratulations! My husband and I traveled to China in January to get our daughter Brianna. Our daughter is from the same orphanage as your beautiful girl! Our daughter was also in foster care. When we met with the officials from the orphanage they told us that there was also another baby with the foster mom and that she would be adopted in April or May.......so I of course am curious if our girls just happened to have had the same foster mother.
