NEW JERSEY SHOWER
On December 29, I had my last of 3 amazing baby showers-
this one in New Jersey with all of my NJ family and
friends and Colleen. My mom did an amazing job of making
the day perfect, from the invitations to the favors, the
venue, the food, the decorations, the toast, the gifts and
the wonderful and warm atmosphere. It was a perfect day. I
can’t begin to thank my mom, and my sisters, who were a
huge help, for making the day so special.
The NJ shower weekend was even more amazing because ‘my
Lauras’ (Laura and Laura) surprised me and came up for the
shower from Atlanta. I was blown away to see them- what a
huge and wonderful surprise! I was enjoying a nice lunch
on Friday with my mom and Susan when Laura and Laura
walked it. I was shocked! They took me to NYC overnight
and we had a great dinner and evening. These are the same
wonderful friends who hosted my shower in Atlanta- so very
generous. Thank you Lauras for coming!
My 3 showers, this weekend in NJ and all of the love and
support we have received from family and friends, is
absolutely overwhelming. Christian and I want to thank
everyone that has stuck with us throughout this long
journey. It’s been 2.5 years, and it seemed like this time
would never come- but it’s finally here. We have an
amazing and beautiful daughter who is waiting for us in
China. We will hold her in our arms in just 13 short days
and bring her home as a forever family. Thank you for
taking this journey with us! |
