We had a great day in Hong Kong today. We spent most of
the day on a tour arranged by CCAI. We visited The Peak- a
high point that provides some great views of the city. We
visited a jewelry factory/shop and outdoor market near the
beach. We also took a water taxi ride in the harbor near
the fishing village, where the fishermen have their house
boats. We also got to see Jackie Chan’s office and his
house! Our guide told us some really interesting things
about Hong Kong- so it was a great experience. The tour
ended with a traditional dim sum lunch, where we all sat
at big round tables.
After that, we were on our own to explore Hong Kong. We
roamed around the Kowloon area, which is a big busy
shopping area. Although it’s very diverse, we seemed to
attract the sales guys for every tailor in Hong Kong,
offering to make us suits and shirts and shirts and
jackets. We enjoyed walking around and taking in the
culture. We spent a lot of time along the waterfront where
we had a great view of the beautiful skyline. We also took
a nice walk through Kowloon Park. We finished the day with
a drink and a snack at the Intercontinental Hotel, which
has a great view. We had fun taking pictures today, we
hope you enjoy them- although we know you are more excited
for tomorrow’s pictures!
