Trip to China
All Days  |  Previous Day  |  Next Day

Tuesday, January 29, 2008

Sorry about yesterday’s post coming so late. In our very tired state last night, I sent our updates to our brother in law Joe, instead of website Joe. Twice. Tonight I’m doing this a bit earlier, before I crash. We had a really low key day today- nothing on the schedule and we spent most of the day in the room, playing and taking naps. We did venture out for lunch to Lucy’s, which is famous for having the only western food around. It was a nice change for us. The big news today was that all of our US Consulate paperwork was completed without any problems. We just have to take an oath tomorrow at the consulate and we are free to take Grace home to become a US citizen! Since we were in most of the day, we decided to take some time to get some pictures of the beautiful White Swan hotel tonight. They have completely decorated for Chinese New Year, so everything looks really festive. We also got some good shots today in front of our hotel room window- it’s nice to finally see some daylight in our pictures, right? And our view is pretty nice! Just a few more days in China, we are really enjoying our time here and having some quiet time as a family before we return to the craziness of day to day life at home.

We have a great view of Guangzhou
