Well, here is our final post from China. We are very glad
to get home and get on a regular schedule, but sad to
leave because we have had a great time here. We really
appreciate all of our guide, from Beijing to Nanchang to
Guangzhou. So thank you, Sim, Bruce and Li Ping, you all
have shown us a great time and we really learned and saw
many wonders and beauties of this great land of China. Our
daughter will always have special ties with her home land
and so will we.
Yesterday we were swore in for the final leg of the
adoption to make Chloe our daughter and the the rest of
the day was ours, We did go to a very nice Chinese
restaurant and Li Ping ordered the food for us and then
pulled a bottle of rice wine out of his back pack for
celebration toast. Woe, 58%, a bit strong for us,
especially when we are not drinkers. But we did have fun.
Today was somewhat quiet for us, we got to socialize with
other people from a couple other groups, some just got
here, some leaving the same day or a day before, but all
seemed to be very nice and we all are connected through
the same life changing experience.
The afternoon was also spent packing and weighing our
luggage. We are needing to get up at 4:00am so we can be
at the airport at 6:00 am. Our flight leaves around 7:30am
on the 1st. and we land at home at 7:10 am on the 1st.
Nice time warp!
We also would like to thank all our family and friends for
all your support through out this entire process. A big
thank you to Don and Pat for moving into our home and
taking care of our three boys and one little gal (
Apollo, Jack Joey and Zoe) I know this wasn't easy, and to
add the major snow storm to top it off I'm sure only made
it harder. You both were on stand by for two years and
nine months willing to put everything on hold for us and
for that I will forever be grateful. We love you both!
Last but not least, a big thank you to Susan at our
agency. You were my everything through this process, and I
couldn't have done this without you! To my husband, I
couldn't imagine going through this process with anyone
other than you. You're a wonderful husband, and an amazing
father. I love you more than you could ever know!
We will post again once were home, goodnight from
Guangzhou, China. |
