Sunday, September 21, 2008 Where has the time gone ?!! Goodness gracious ! It is just so hard to believe that we have been home two whole months with our Ella....but at the same time, we feel like she has been here since the day she was born. The month of September has been a relatively quiet month so this update will probably be short and sweet! We have spent most of our days at home which has been nice for us all ! Ella continues to amaze us as her little inner spirit is coming more alive each day! She has three teeth and two more peeking through ! She is crawling, plays peek-a-boo, pat-a-cake, pulls up to stand, and is babbling a few words like ‘da-da’, ‘mum’, and ‘duck’. She still loves taking a bath and listening to music, and enjoys anything to do with going outside! The boys headed back to school....which means that Ella can now take afternoon naps ! She misses them when they’re not home and squeals with excitement when she sees them come through the door. They are both playing football so we have been busy getting them to practices during the week and football games on the weekends. Ella LOVES to see all the boys on the field and claps and cheers with the cheerleaders. It’s so cute to watch her. With the holidays just around the corner, we have been stokin’ up our old wood burning stove and preparing to make our home made goats milk soaps ! The kids LOVE to help with this family project! I am a craftaholic (for those who don’t know me...) And in my “spare time” (haa !) I enjoy sewing folk art dolls, making home made soaps, candles and hooking wool rugs. We hope to introduce Ella to the simplicity of hand-crafted treasures and I have already had her sitting on my lap at the sewing machine a time or two ! We look forward to watching Ella celebrate her first Hallowe’en with us next month and then our last post on ‘myadoptionwebsite’ will be in November as we celebrate Ella’s first birthday !!
