Friday, November 28, 2008 I want to begin our last post and update on myadoptionwebsite by sending out a huge Thank You to all of our family, our followers, our supporters, our adoption agency, our Guatemalan facilitators, Joe and Jennifer for hosting this beautiful website for adoptive families and most of all our Lord and Savior for leading us to our daughter..... Ella Rose. When we first embarked on our adoption journey we knew we had to be strong and have faith....and at times it was so difficult to think we would ever finally bring home a little girl from Guatemala...but we did !! We have so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving Day !!! Ella has blossomed into the most precious one year old ! She had a birthday on the 18th of November and we had a celebration with family and friends on the 22nd. She had so much fun and enjoyed being the center of attention (even though...she pretty much is every other day too !) She is starting to vocalize more.... When we point to her and ask ‘who is this?’ she replies “Edda”. She is saying ‘mama’ ...’da’...’duck’.....‘bab’ (for baby) .... ‘hot’ ....’bye’ and ‘bub’ ( Carter & Cole) . When she is getting into something that she knows she probably shouldn’t....she will call out “Edda !” It’s so funny ! Not quite walking yet....but it will not be long ! She stands unsupported and walks around the furniture...and has actually taken two steps on her own...but she’s too afraid and impatient to try it on her own...and usually takes the faster route and crawls ! We have enjoyed not only being one of the adoptive families on this wonderful website...but we’ve had so much fun watching other families unite with their sweet children as well ! Adoption is truly a gift from God that we are so fortunate that we can now say we have been a part of. We pray that each of you has a delightful Thanksgiving....a joyous Christmas ....and a blessed New Year ! Please feel free to continue following our family's journey at our blog here.

Greetings dear friends ...we hope you are well
For our year was filled with so much to tell
A new sweet addition to our family tree...
Me & Cole & Ella makes three
Our farm with the horses the cows and the sheep
means that our Dad catches minimal sleep
And our Mom stays busy ...besides being a “Mom”
she takes care of the sick from daylight till dawn
she now works as a nurse...and tickled are we...
For she no longer says that she has to study
It’s all about sports for Cole & myself...
Two Troy Polamalu jersey’s we hope are made by an elf
Little League All Stars was our hobby this spring
A pitcher and short stop we played for the team
Our family of five is blessed as you see
A Mom and a Dad and their children of three
And so to your family we send wishes so dear...
