We have been home for one month and one day now! Ethan is doing great. He is sleeping all night and taking one nap in the afternoon. We can really see his personality come out now. He is a very friendly and happy little guy who is always busy! With an occasional temper tantrum thrown in for good measure. When I look at his pictures that the orphanage provided us of him, I see nothing of the boy we know now. His personality really doesn't show in those pictures. We did receive a picture of Ethan looking at our photo album that we sent him so that will be a nice picture to have. We wondered if his pictures were so serious because he is all by himself in them and that they probably took him away from playing with other kids to get the photos taken. There is a lot of his first two years that I wish I knew more about.

Last Thursday he had another pediatrician appointment. Poor guy had four shots, a finger prick and a nasal flu mist! At least the shots were two at a time this time! He did great and was smiling by the time we were on the way out of the office. His next appointment is in the beginning of April for two more shots and another H1N1 nasal spray. Then he will be caught up on immunizations until kindergarten. March 22nd we will go to Iowa City for another visit with the surgeon who will do his palate surgery. The most difficult thing for Ethan may be that he has to go three weeks after surgery with a liquid diet. I think he will have a hard time with this, especially since we have been introducing him to all these new foods. We will just have to keep him distracted.

The weather is getting better here so we have gone on a couple of wagon rides/dog walks. It's nice to get Ethan outside. He was probably wondering if we just never went outside except to get in the car!

The pictures I am attaching are of Ethan a few hours after his pediatrician appointment with the shots. As you can see, he seemed to recover quite well! He has a pretty messy face too! Seems like most of his pictures look like that. Must be he is pretty happy after he eats! He is 28 months old in these pictures.
