“Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see!” -Hebrews 11:1 Here is what we know about Faith so far: Her Chinese name: Diedie Zhang “Diedie” means butterfly in Chinese. Our hope and prayer for “Faith Diedie” (as for all of our children) is that she will spread her wings “like a butterfly” and touch the hearts of many by spreading God’s Love! Her Date of Birth: October 1, 2005 (McKenna & Faith share the same birthday, what a special bond God has already placed with these two sisters!) Her province: Guizhou Also: *She is in foster care! Yahoo! *Laughs aloud *Knows her name, & turns when called * Eats biscuits without help (Born a “Walker”, God Bless her little heart) *Active (Look-out) *Restless *Likes listening to music (Just like mommy) *Likes playing with toys *Expresses her refusal in a simple way (Thank you God!) And for a final note: * Caretaker says…. “She eat Good” :) Mommy & Daddy thoughts: Through this adoption process, in the beginning I worried about my baby’s every move: Is someone feeding her? Is she safe? Is she cold? Is someone showing her love? My mind raced with all the uncertainties, until I heard a song that changed my way of thinking. In Jan. of 06’ Matt & I had the privilege to attend an FCA conference & our worship leader was the Awesome, Joel Engle! He sang a song entitled “Be A Father to Her”. It soothed my soul & every worry past away, because I knew God was in Control of her every move! My husband & I may not be with her right now, but we take Great Comfort in knowing that God is with her!   “Be A Father to Her” I know that I can’t save her from this life so full of pain But I would gladly take her place and every tear I would erase Lord I know you love her with a love so divine For you sent Your Son to die So that she could know Your life Chorus: As you are a father to me Be a father to her As you are a Savior to me Be a Savior to her Let Your light shine down on her like Your shinning down on me Will you be a father to her as You are to me -Joel Engle Made for Worship
