Today was another wonderful day here in China! We went back to
the orphanage to spend some time with the babies. I must say
that the nannies there were very attentive to the babies. They
may not be able to hold all of the babies at once, but they did
show love to them! We were all very impressed with the orphanage
& their staff. They were all very loving and caring.
As we walked in the baby room, words can not begin to describe
the ache in our hearts when we walked into the room filled with
babies. Just knowing that they did not have a momma and daddy,
to hold them and love on them, broke my heart. We saw each child
and we held almost all of them! I could do that all day! There
was one 10mth. old little boy there that had the same special
need as Faith did. I was holding him, & I asked “What is wrong
with him?” The interpreter told me and I called Matt over, the
boy immediately reached out to Matt! He was attached to Matt
from then on. The baby had an incredible smile. I told them we
wanted him….. :0) …LOL! Actually, I would have taken them ALL
home with me, if I could! DANG! Before we left we saw a few
older children that were up for adoption, but had not been
adopted yet. It was VERY hard to leave them, as they watched us
take off. There faces will forever be sketched into our heads.
If you are reading this post and are thinking about
adoption….first….Pray about it! Then, ACT UPON IT!!! Believe me,
you will be glad you did. I sit and think about the fears that
we all have…” I can’t fly to China……We don’t have the money to
do that….We’re too old……We can’t take one more child in…etc.etc..etc…
What if we let those fears control our lives??? What happens to
us then? What happens to the people around us??? What if Matt &
I would have let those fears control our thinking on adoption?
LOOK at the blessings that we would have missed out on! God has
really blessed us! Let God use you, and He will show you
something!!!! Everytime!

Hey buddy! I saw a Chinese catfish today and mom put a
picture on here for you. I showed our pictures of the
deer to our guide and he really liked them. How was
swimming at Aunt Pam’s? Did you have good time? We miss
you and love you!!!!!
Lil Bit> Did you get in the pool at Aunt Pam’s? We hope
so, you are a good swimmer. I was able to give a little
girl the bracelet you made for me that I wore over here.
She was so thankful for it. She didn’t have much and God
brought her joy in the gift. Just think a little girl is
blessed because you made a precious gift and gave it.
God really smiled about that today. Thank you for making
the bracelet!!! We love you “this much” and more!! |
