(Matt substituting for Keisha)
WOW! We can’t believe it is Day 8. We got to see one of the most
breathtaking sites on this planet today! The Grand Waterfall at
Huangguoshu, which is world famous, and measures 255. 2 feet
high and 266 feet wide. That is the largest in all of Asia and
the 4th largest in the world! It is truly amazing to see what
our Father has created for us to behold His beauty and to
glorify Him. Absolutely amazing to stand on the edge of such
power and beauty and realize that our Father is far greater and
created it. Just take a look at Genesis 1 and see what happened.
Keisha’s favorite moment was standing behind that waterfall in
an underground cavern, kind of like the “Last of the Mohicans”
movie. Thought about trying it but thought it was a little too
far and our Father would have put wings on me if that is what he
wanted me to do. Faith did wonderfully the entire day and with
the 2 hr. ride out!! We started the day off a little rough and
ill though. Think she may have a cold or something. She is an
amazing child with great personality. I could write on and on
about this amazing experience, but we will let the pictures tell
the rest of the story for now. After seeing this, all we can
sing is Glory, Glory, Glory, ……..
We got to eat some local cuisine at a Restaurant in a hotel near
the waterfall. The locals like spicy food and that was right up
mine and Faith’s ally. After eating over here and getting the
authentic stuff, our home restaurants need to tighten up. LOL!!
After a great lunch, we ventured to another waterfall and
enjoyed the peacocks walking around, the black swans, and the
ducks. Our next stop for the day was a local village at Tian
Long where the Old Haun people live. Some of the buildings are
over 600 years old. It was great to see these people and get off
the “beaten path” to see the real country outside of the city.
These people are very pleasant and hard working. I can’t tell
you how many water buffalos and farmers working in the field we
saw today. I kept trying to figure out how Daddy would drop that
big tractor and 8 row planters into one of those rice patties or
small corn fields on the side of a mountain. Hum? We also got to
see a local performance of dancers. A video is in the pictures.
It was an amazing day with landscape that is gorgeous. The
topography is of Karst, limestone mountains. The pictures will
show you the beauty that we can not describe. Tomorrow we will
go to Faith’s orphanage, do a little shopping, and then come
back to get ready to go back to Guangzhou on Saturday.
Thank you all for the prayer and the blessing that you are being
in our lives. We can feel the prayer and His presence with us.
It is amazing! Please continue to lift us up and keep posting.
It encourage us soo much!
B-Man and Lil Bit:
These water buffalos are HUGE. They are much bigger than our
cows, but I have all faith that you two could handle them!!!
HaHa!!!
B-Man > We got to shoot a real bow and arrow at the village
today. That’s right; Momma shot a bow and arrow! She did pretty
good too! You will have to help teach her when we get back… Keep
Papa straight. WE LOVE YOU BUDDY!!
McKenna> Momma picked you up the cutest little pocketbook for
you to have. She is always shopping for her girls! You and Nana
try not to shop too much in Baxley. See if she will get your
toes painted again. WE LOVE YOU, “this much”!!!! Honk-Honk,
Beep- Beep!
*Baby Faith says Hello to you both!! |
Devotion Questions: Okay
Nana, you get to help’em answer.
Great answers about Noah! God told him every detail of how
to build the Ark where it would keep everyone and would stay
afloat for 40 days. They did use a wood similar to cypress,
it was gopher wood. And, you guys were right on with Noah
carrying the whole family. I am so proud of you guys!!!!!!
What is the most important thing that we see that Noah did
in building the Ark? What would have happened if Noah would
have done things his way instead of God’s? How did Noah and
his sons get all those animals together?
