This morning we had a nice surprise. A good friend of ours from Eastman came to visit us. Nancy and her daughter Michelle came by the China Hotel! Nancy is a local restaurant owner in Eastman and she is originally from Guangzhou. She and her daughter came home to visit family. We were so excited to see them. We all went out to eat at a local restaurant. We had pigeon & it was delicious! Taste like dove, which is something I love. After lunch we did some shopping. We took a tour of the famous Beijing road. I just thought American’s loved to shop! Man, oh man Chinese love it even more! :0) I think I’m part Chinese! LOL! There were so many shops and so little time. Faith would NOT allow for many. After a while, we decided to come in for a little nap. A much needed nap! We stayed in for dinner tonight so that we could spend more time together with Faith. She is starting to understand us a little better. It is amazing the little things that excite us. Tonight, Matt told Faith to take something to me & she listened and brought it to me. We were so proud of her. We think a lot of her stubbornness may be that she doesn’t understand. When Chinese people talk to her she seems to understand them and is very mellow. We pray that with everyday she will understand more and more and become the woman of God that He wants her to be. We hope everyone back home is doing well! Can’t wait to see you all!
