AFTER 19 HOURS . . .
WE MADE IT HOME!!
There’s no place like home…There’s no place like home!!! That’s
what we were saying when we started the trip back! We had a
rocky start. Faith was good, but Matt lost his license and
credit cards. The first plane ride to Tokyo ended in a medical
emergency landing in Osaka Japan. There was a gentleman on our
plane who was having a heart attack. Matt & I just closed our
eyes and prayed. We’re not sure of his condition, but we’re
still praying for him. We had turbulence on both the Tokyo plane
& severe turbulence on the 11hr. plane ride to Minnesota. We
missed our first plane to Minnesota because of the emergency
landing & were quickly re-routed on another plane1hr. later.
Thank you Northwest Airlines! They were really great! We were
soooo ready to be home! We finally arrived in Atlanta at 9:45pm
and then arrived home at 12:00am. I don’t know who was more
excited, us or our children! We missed them & they missed us!
They were very loving and gentle to Faith…taking her on a tour
of our house & her new room. Faith was a little overwhelmed.
But, she quickly warmed up to them and was fitting right in. She
is a true “Walker”.
We are thankful to many people for uplifting us in prayer. We
could feel every one of them. Please continue to pray for us and
Faith, as she is still adjusting to the new rules of the house.
LOL! When I think back to the information that we received about
her…..the part were it says…”expresses her refusal in a simple
way”….Yeah, they lied! Or either their “simple way” is much
different than ours! LOL! She has come a long way though. She’s
mighty strong to be soo little! ( In spirit and in will) :0)
We would also like to thank our parents for taking such
wonderful good care of Broughton & McKenna! Yall did an
excellent job. We are very blessed to have wonderful God-fearing
parents! We love you guys very much! Thanks to those of
you who took care of our animals while we were gone too! They
were all very healthy & very much Alive! :0)
Joe & Jennifer, thank you for making this website what it is and
putting your hearts into it! You two have a true heart for
families adopting! All the other adoption websites…”don’t hold a
candle” to you two! We love yall!
Next, I would like to personally thank my husband, for being the
true & honest man of God that he is! He was a pillar of strength
for me. He hates flying & I know there were times when I could
look at him and tell he was holding it together for the family!
:0) He was a trooper and he never, never forgot to PRAISE GOD
for each day & after each flight! I have been blessed to have
made this journey with you! I love you, sweetie!
Lastly, we would like to thank our Lord and Savior for this
Awesome journey! It was a “Journey OF Faith” as well as a
Journey to Faith! We are forever thankful for the works of your
hands!
We will be updating our website later, because I know we will
have lots to tell of our baby Faith & our “family of five”!
Love to all!
