Wow! What fun we’ve had the past 3 months! They have flown by so
fast, that I’ve been meaning to update everybody the past 2mths.
now!!! Faith has done a beautiful job at fitting right into our
family. In fact, we don’t remember life without her in it. She
has met almost everyone in our extended families and has taken
to them very well. She doesn’t shy away from anyone; accept
maybe the few times she decides that she doesn’t want to stay in
the nursery at church. (But, we have some wonderful people in
our nursery and after a few minutes….she’s just fine)
Faith had a Birthday on Monday, October 1st. We celebrated on
Saturday with family. She even had her own Birthday cake (what
we Southerners call a smash cake). She was so funny; she didn’t
know what to do with it. She looked at us like …”where’s my
fork?” We gave her a fork and she immediately took most of the
icing off the top! I can remember last year the feeling that I
had about not being with her on her First Birthday. We had just
found out about her and there was no way to get her home that
fast! I was deeply saddened, because Birthday’s are important to
us around here! God quickly assured me that we would have the
rest of her life to celebrate Birthdays and that every Birthday
is another gift from Him. A Gift is exactly what she is, the day
she was born! We are so incredibly Thankful to God for all of
our children and Faith completes our family!
As I was talking the other day to a couple who couldn’t have any
children, I assured them that Adopting to us, was NO different
than having a baby. I can assure you that the Love we have in
our hearts is the SAME love that we had for Broughton & McKenna.
The process to get them may be different, but the end result of
a Full & Blessed Heart is the same! If anybody is reading this
update and has had difficulty having children, PLEASE consider
adoption! There are sooo many children in this world that need a
mommy & a daddy! Someone to teach them how to fish, how to have
a tea party, & how to LOVE, God’s way! This was our calling, and
we can never thank God enough for the blessings that Faith
brings into our lives everyday. She is so full of Joy, Life,
Energy & an infectious laugh that will melt your heart!
We would like to thank Joe & Jennifer for their wonderful work
with our adoption website. They too, have been a blessing to us!
Thanks you guys for your enthusiasm and speedy work! They are
always excited & interested about every update. Keep up the good
work!
This will be our last update to this site but we would like to
invite you all to visit us anytime on our blog.
