Hello everyone,
Today has been a pretty busy and tiring day. We started out our
day at 8:30am touring on foot, Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden
City, and a Hutong Tour on a Rickshaw ride. Tiananmen Square is
very impressive with the Olympic Clock counting down the days
and the buildings honoring Chairman Mao. Because it is the
winter season in Beijing their were not as many people on the
square as I expected. Forbidden City is so beautiful, the
carving on the roofs and the fibriant blue and yellow paint
colors make the buildings seem older and ancient. The rickshaw
ride was very interesting , let's just say we paid the guy a
good tip for his hard work. The family we visited had a
wonderful house, even though they have a limited living space
area they are very proud of what they have.
I will have to go into details later about our tour because we
are having to pack-up for our plane ride to Wuhan in the early
morning to finally get Elizabeth and we leave the Hotel at
5:30am, so I have lots to do. Enjoy the photo's.
