Ni Hao,
What a crazy day we have had. It started at 6:30am and is
finally ending at 10:30pm and we are exhausted. I'll give you a
quick synopsis of the day and then I've got a very tired and
smelly baby to clean and put to bed.We checked out of our Wuhan
hotel at 9:00am (which I was sad to leave because boy, was it
wonderful) and headed in backed -up traffic for 1hour and 20
minutes to get our documents by the officials at the adoption
center. When we received our documents and took those last
photos we headed back into traffic and headed for another
Chinese lunch which a wedding was going on and those who know
Chris the camera was clicking, his first Chinese wedding. Lunch
was terrific and and Eric our guide was wonderful to us, he was
our lifesaver all week. Everyone asked Eric if their was a place
we could shop to buy the girls something for them to have from
their province, he suggested Turquoise and jade so we stopped at
a shop to get a few things. Once ba ck on the bus, it was time
to head to the airport to beat the snow coming in that
afternoon. We said our good-byes to Eric and headed to security
and our gate to wait on a plane that is going to be delayed. By
this time not only were we tired but our poor babies as well.
After a diaper change and ten rounds walking the babies in the
terminal, our plane arrived. All the babies did great but
Elizabeth started to get fussy and tired. We arrived in
Guangzhou around 9:30pm to very rainy weather but a little
warmer. Our bus from the White Swan was late which made it worse
on the babies. I'll write more tomorrow good -night from
Guangzhou, China.
