Hello everyone, we are still waiting for Gracie. At this point it looks like it may be July or August before we get a referral. After the referral it will be 6-8 weeks before we bring her home.

We are starting to nest. We are in the process of completing a playroom and getting a new kitchen floor. We are getting things done so when Gracie gets here all we have to do is look at her, kiss her and play with her.

It seems like the time is getting closer and we are getting more excited. We went to Babies R Us to register and it was really overwhelming. Tony was excited because he got control of the scanner. I guess he thought if he couldn’t be in front of the TV with control of the remote he would control the baby shopping. I learned quickly to be careful what I said because if I just said “what about this” he would zap it. Things are certainly much more sophisticated now then when I had Alex.

You will notice the picture of the 100 wishes quilt and we would like to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for all of the quilt pieces you donated to Gracie’s quilt. It means a lot to us to know you all care and it will mean a great deal to her, as she gets older. I would also like to thank Jan (from Evansville) she put a lot of hard work into Gracie’s quilt and it turned out beautifully.

Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers and thank you all for Your support.

Dear Gracie,

Although you are not here in flesh you are certainly here in our hearts. Daddy and I are very excited to hold you in our arms and kiss your precious little face. There are many people who love you already and just can’t wait to meet you. You are a very special little girl who holds a special place in the hearts of many and you just don’t know it. It has taken a very long time to get you and believe me I know you are worth the wait. God bless you and keep you until Daddy and I come to bring you home.

Hugs and Kisses,
Mommy

We are tired of waiting for you Gracie

Kisses In The Wind

I hold you in my heart and touch you in my dreams.

You are here each day with me; at least that's how it seems.

I know you wonder where we are, what's taking us so long.

But remember child, I love you so and God will keep you strong.

Now go outside and feel the breeze and let it touch your skin

Because tonight, just as always, I blow you kisses in the wind.

May God hold you in his hand until I can be with you.

I promise you, my darling, I'm doing all that I can do.

Very soon, you'll have a family for real, not just pretend.

But for tonight, just as always, I blow you kisses in the wind.

May God wrap you in His arms and hold you very tight.

Let the angels bring the kisses that I send to you each night.
