Thank you all for your kind words in the loss of my mom. I
miss her very much every day. I know she is in heaven watching
over us and that is comforting in its self.
At this point the CCAA (China Center for Adoption Affairs) has
given out referrals up to Feb. 9, 2006. We have a log in date
of Feb. 14, 2006, so please keep us in your prayers that we
are next. That should be some time at the beginning of
October. (YEAH) I am so excited to hold our daughter I am
coming out of my skin! Now that we are so close I wake up
everyday thinking, “This could be the day”. Please pray for us
and pray Gracie is home by Christmas.
Alex is now 18, can you all believe that? I know I can’t. He
has joined the Air force and will be leaving July 14, 2008.
That is a day that will be incredibly hard for me. I am very
proud of him. He has turned out to be a wonderful young man,
not to mention pretty cute. We had his senior pictures taken
and it was all I could do to hold back the tears. He is taking
flying lessons, so we took the pictures at the Butler County
Airport. We had them taken by a husband and wife team that was
wonderful and very creative. Alex was a little grumpy because
he had to get up early and they did wonders with that. I have
sent a link to the blog to their website where you will find a
few of the pictures Jessica and Brett took.
Please enjoy the pictures of Alex growing up and hopefully
soon we will be able to have pictures of him with his sister.
To
Gracie:
It has been 2 years and 5 months since our LID, but
whose counting. Wow, the time has flown and we have
thought of you everyday and how you will complete this
family. You already bring joy to our hearts just knowing
you are going to join our family. You have no way of
knowing how our hearts are bursting with excitement and
love while we wait for you. The greatest gift Alex,
Daddy and I can receive this Christmas is you, along
with many other family and friends who have waited for
you for such a long time. We can’t wait to hold you in
our arms and kiss your entire precious face. You are in
God’s care, God bless you and keep you until you are
home with your family. Gracie, we love you more than you
know.
