Happy fall to everyone. I cannot believe it has been 2 years since we started our journey to our daughter. I know the big question in everyone’s mind is “When is she going to be home”. My answer is, we don’t know. Often I wish I had a crystal ball so we could see what is going on in China. Currently families have been waiting 22 months. If that is our case we should get a referral in December and travel to China to bring Gracie home in February. That would be the best Christmas present ever, a picture of our daughter.

I would like to congratulate two of our great friends on the birth of their twins! Carrie and Derek Carnohan had twin boys, Brady and Conner. Maggie Carnohan is a big sister, and a very good one I might add. Misty and Mark Watters had twin girls, Annie and Katie. Everyone is doing great and I am loving the fact that I get to visit as often as I like. I am preparing for parenting a baby all over again. Alex is 17, I need a refresher course. Alex is a junior and is taking law enforcement; he loves it and is doing very well.

Over the summer we tried to keep busy and help the time pass. We went to Lake Cumberland with our Cousins. It was just beautiful and lots of fun. Thank you very much DeSalvo’s for inviting us onto your beautiful boat. We had a lot of fun with Matt, Anna and David our little cousins. We gave Grandma Katie a big surprise. Aunt Chrissy, Daddy and I are taking her to Graceland in November. As you can see from the picture we gave her a big cardboard Elvis with an invitation in his hand. I hope in 3 months we can post and say “SHE’S HERE”. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. We will update you soon.

Dear Gracie,

We know wherever you are you are in the care of people who are taking good care of you and being watched over by God. Some day soon you will know the love and comfort of your forever family. Daddy and I talk about you often and are asked everyday when you will be coming home. It has been 2 very long years, but we know when we look into those beautiful brown eyes and see the love of our precious baby girl it will all have been worth the wait. You are one very luck y little girl to have such a wonderful family to come home to and we are a very lucky family to have such a precious little girl to bring home. It is amazing to me that a family in Ohio who needs a daughter and a little girl in China who needs a family can come together. God is wonderful! Until we can hold you in our arms we hold you in our hearts. God bless you and keep you. We love you Gracie.
