Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to our family and friends.
I hope you all had a joyful, healthy holiday. We had a
wonderful Christmas and so did Gracie, she just didn’t know
it. We took turns unwrapping her gifts. She got all kinds of
presents, a doll, overnight bag (Grandma Vena is already
planning on keeping her overnight), a doll house, her own
little dishes, a dancing tigger, and much more. Throughout
Christmas I kept thinking that next year our daughter will be
here with us to share in and add to our Christmas joy.
Grandma Katie and Grandma Vena have started to plan the shower
for early June. The excitement is really starting to build. We
still have no word on a time frame, but currently referral
time is 15 months, which would put us traveling to China in
June or July. Maybe we will be there for Alex’s 17th birthday,
imagine spending your birthday in China to pick up your little
sister. That would be a great gift. I cannot wait to see the
two of them together, I just know she is going to be crazy
about him, he is so great with little kids.
We are pleased and honored to announce that big brother, Alex
and Aunt Chrissy will be traveling to China with us to share
in our joyful journey to Gracie. It makes my heart happy to
have Chrissy join us to share in this very special time in our
lives. Thank you, Chrissy for saying you would love to go it
means a lot to us.
Here are some pictures of our Christmas holiday. Please sign
our guest book, we love and appreciate all of your comments
and support.
There's a little girl trembling on a cold December morn
Crying for momma's arms
At an orphanage just outside a little China town
There the forgotten are
But half a world away I hang the stockings by the fire
And dream about the day when I can finally call you mine
It's Christmas time again but you're not home
Your family is here and yet you're somewhere else alone
And so tonight I pray that God will come and hold you in
his arms
And tell you from my heart I wish you Merry Christmas
As I hang the tinsel on the tree and watch the twinkling
lights
I'm warmed by the fire's glow
Outside the children tumble in a wonderland of white,
Make angels in the snow
But half a world away you try your best to fight the
tears
And hope that heaven's angels come to carry you here
It's Christmas time again but you're not home
Your family is here and yet you're somewhere else alone
And so tonight I pray that God will come and hold you in
his arms
And tell you from my heart I wish you Merry Christmas
Christmas is a time to celebrate the holy child
and we celebrate his perfect gift of love
He came to earth to give his life
and prepare a place for us
so we could have a home with him above
