About Jude

JUDE HONG LE
Born: February 2, 2005

Jude
meaning “praise or thanks”
Hong
meaning “Great”

As the story goes…on the morning of 3-4-2005 a nurse and a police officer took an abandoned infant to the Baoding SWI in the Hebei Province. He was estimated to be 30 days old…he was named after Hong Le after both of them. With that said, the name Jude seemed to fit perfect.

Here’s what we know about our little Jude. He appears to be very healthy and developmentally on target with this age. As of 6 month ago, he weighed in at 12.5 kg, 27.5 pounds…wait a minute…is he bigger than his ge ge Gabe? Okay, a bit shorter but not by much he was 81 cm or 311/2 inches tall, but yes, he does weigh more! He likes to play outdoors and his favorite kinds of toys are rubber balls. He can speak simple phrases, has a good smile and is very close to Ayi (Nanny). This particularly makes us feel well, seeing that he has formed an attachment. It appears that his Ayi picked him up regularly for kisses and that she fed him individually. Her hopes for him were that he would grow more and more lovely. Hong Le is cleft lip affected, that is his determined special need. He had lip repair surgery in December 05. We can’t wait to see how lovely he is!

Describing his character, he is known to act “Naughty” in front of people he knows, we assume this means showing off, and clearly defines that he was destined to join our family of tots! But… he is also described as playing well with others which hopefully shows that he has a soft side as well.

The Gift of Life
I didn’t give you the gift of life, but in my heart I know the love I feel is deep and real, as if it had been so. For us to have each other is like a dream come true. No, I didn’t give you the gift of life, life gave me the gift of you.
