GUANGZHOU,
BABY . . . YEAH!
Today, we toured the beautiful Chen Clan Family Pavilion.
Breathtaking sights of sculpture, embroidery, art, wood & ivory
carving and history. The temple was originally established as
preparatory school for the Chen Family, the most numerous family
in the Guangzhou area. Later, it was open for public exhibition.
Beautiful gardens, preserved rooms of furniture, bonsai trees
and architecture make this a must-see site in this beautiful
area. Maggie was taken back by the heat a little, so she didn't
enjoy too much.
Afterwards, we went to the Pearl Market in downtown Guangzhou to
buy our little girl gifts as she grows older. Off to the
supermarket to re-supply formula, cereal and bottled water for
our little eater... just like her daddy!
Shamian Island is a beautiful place to walk the street and take
in the local flavor, with numerous shops, parks and a delightful
waterfront. Another beautiful, but exhausting day with our new
daughter. |
