THE COUNTDOWN TO
OUR RETURN BEGINS
Hi... it's me Maggie again, bringing you up-to-date on my new
adventures in the Valverde family.... Can we talk?
Today, mommy and daddy took me on a walk around Shamian Island,
where we've been getting to know each other for the past few
days. Yep, it was hot and humid again, I can tell by the way
daddy is sweating. Mommy is handling things pretty well, and she
is doing a TERRIFIC job with me. My hiney has never felt better
and my belly has never been so full.
We stopped into Starbucks for a cup of joe and a bottle of
formula... what better place to relax... With a full belly,
which makes me smile, we venture out into the stands and stalls
shopping for pretty dresses and traditional Chinese wears to
bring home for me and my new family. Feeling all this love makes
me laugh and smile all the time.
Daddy keeps taking pictures, which is driving mommy a little
crazy... he keeps saying you gotta capture the moment, but there
are going to be plenty of opportunities when I get home.
So, after shopping we returned to the White Swan to get nice and
clean as we were invited out today by daddy's friend, Uncle Ben
for a day in the Qingping Market...what a place. You can get
everything... one section was for pets, one section was for
meats and poultry, one for baby clothes, one for vegetables, and
the list goes on and on... After getting a little lost, Ben took
our new family to a lovely authentic Chinese meal - with all
sorts of exotic dishes from tofu to shrimp to noodles.
Delicious! Saying goodbye to Uncle Ben was hard, be he will
visit me when he comes to the US.
Anyhoo, getting tired, so I'll sign-off for today with a
heart-felt - goo, goo.
XO
