Wow what a whirlwind our life has been the last 3 months with our little sweet Tammy.

Tammy is doing very well. Tammy is such a happy, funny and expressive little girl. She has adjusted to her family and her home so beautifully. She loves every one of her siblings and has a special bond with each one of us. She loves to listen to music. She loves for mom to sing to her, she puts her ear right up to my mouth and never wants me to stop singing to her. She loves to walk holding on to our fingers. She loves to feed her big dog Fred and give him hugs. (I have to say I think Tammy is Fred’s favorite also) Fred’s favorite treats are now Gerber banana puffs. One of Tammy’s all time favorite activities is going swimming. She also likes to go to the Children’s museum.

Tammy has had more doctor appointments in three months than all four of her siblings put together to date. She had surgery on Jan 15th to repair her lip and nose. The surgery was about five hours long (a little longer than expected) but went very well. Before surgery the doctor gave Tammy a valium to make her sleepy (yeah right). She was not sleepy at all just extremely goofy, we have the funniest pre-op pictures ever. She was part of the 2% that valium didn’t work on.

I have to say it was pretty hard to see my little baby so swollen and sore after surgery but she was such a trooper. She only stayed in the hospital overnight and went home the next day which was good because she was getting cabin fever. There was a very sweet old man that came around and played guitar and sang songs for the kids in the hospital, Tammy really enjoyed this entertainment, he said Tammy was a great audience and he enjoyed playing for her.

Before her surgery Tammy had finally adjusted to a regular schedule and was sleeping through the night. After her surgery that all ended. Tammy moves around quite a bit in her sleep. Having her arms in restraints and the discomfort of the nose stints caused Tammy to wake up about every ½ hour. I think we were just as happy as Tammy when the doctor removed the nose stints on Feb 11th. Finally we are starting to sleep through the night again!

Tammy will be starting physical therapy soon to help get her crawling and walking. She also has an evaluation scheduled for March 12th to plan out her speech therapy. Tammy and I are joining a co-op toddler preschool group together in two weeks. Her next surgery to repair her hard palate will be in June sometime. Life is busy around the Jordan house for sure. We wouldn’t have it any other way.

Tammy has brought so much love and fun to the Jordan ’s house. We are truly blessed beyond measure… Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers for our sweet Tammy.

We will update again next month…

God Bless,

The Jordans
