We are so blessed to have our children. A friend once said that she and her husband didn’t “make” their biological children any more than they “made” their adopted daughter. Although we toiled in our thoughts, God already had both Olivia and Peyton chosen for our family. For as it is written, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you.” (Jeremiah 1:5) What peace we have knowing that our Father in heaven knows us, accepts us, and loves us with crazy, abundant love. It is he who first adopted us into his family. We praise you for this Lord!

Olivia, born on January 1, 2004 was adopted from Yiyang City, Hunan China on January 24, 2005. What a blessing she has been, and what a wonderful big sister she will be to Peyton. Olivia will make the return trip with mommy and daddy to bring her little brother home.
