Thank you God for allowing us to adopt this precious little girl. We as parents, are the lucky ones and see a bit of heaven in Graces smile, God has blessed our family beyond measure and were are truly grateful. Grace makes our family whole and brings much joy.

We’re home at last! Sorry for not updating beforehand. With so much to do, little time, and slow Internet, it became impossible. Poor Dave, he would sit up at night trying to at least add photos to the drop shots while I fell comatose at 7!! If you want to see what happened during the last days of our trip please page back. Also, we have now placed all our photos onto drop shots. I LOVE high speed cable Internet!

We left Guangzhou January 12th and flew to Hong Kong then on too Philly. Grace is a terrific flyer! We arrived safely in Philly at 12AM on Saturday the 13th. We had the wonderful surprise of seeing Cecily and Nicole at the airport! Thank You Matt and Chaz, I missed my babies so much! Grace then fell asleep in the car as we as we drove home. Later in the day we went to the Farm Show. This is a favorite event of ours that we try to catch as often as we can. Note to self; next time we travel half way around the world and not sleep for over 24 hours do NOT go to a crowed, stinky place with an infant who has never seen a creature that wasn’t human! There was this cute little bunny that fit into the palm of my hand…Grace was convinced that it would eat her. HMMM, wonder what she will do when she meets Samson, our 120lb. lab? We retuned home to meet my sister at noon, Grace and I feel asleep soon after. Sorry Kathy! Gracie was overwhelmed with all her family members.

We stayed at Mom’s for 4 days, she has no computer. No Internet. Sigh. We returned home Thursday and began the process of unpacking. Who knew we had so much stuff! I told my friend that my house looks like a laundry truck exploded inside it. Thursday & Friday Grace slept wonderfully. I thought thank you Jesus! Then Saturday night we went to our local adoption support group get-together and well, Grace is no longer sleeping like she had been. Don’t miss understand me; I don’t believe that the support group had anything to do with our “sleep issues”. Rather I believe it more adjusting to the new environment. I believe she is doing really good considering that we are perfect strangers who look strange, talk weird, who took her from everything and everyone she was familiar. I’m not sure I would do as well.

Sunday we went to church, it was good to be home. Pastor Jeff had to call us forward and introduce Grace to the congregation. I cried. Thank you everyone for such support. This week we are busy logging Grace into the military insurance and doctor appointments. We hope to find our pace again soon. There is so much about having a baby that I have forgotten; like how much time it takes to prepare to leave. I am grateful that I have 2 fantastic daughters to help me with Grace.

Grace is 20lbs, has 16 teeth, hates baby food and wants our food (she does very well), is taking a liking to our dogs but wants to hold our cat (cat is very hard to find right now).

Got her ears pierced on Saturday and now enjoys her bath time.

Sleep issue will take time, nightmares- yes a 19 month old has very bad dreams that make her scream out in her sleep. God will heal her wounds and we will trust him.

We can not dream now with out her in them, Grace is our daughter, sister and this will never change. It was a very hard 11 months with a lot of struggles but in the end it was worth it all- Grace’s smile is priceless and her hugs will melt your heart.

Sisters

No touchy

12th hour on the plane
Please keep us in your prayers as each new day brings out new trials, new obstacle we will face as a family of five.

And tonight Grace actually puckered up to give kisses to both her sisters.

Thank you all for your support and your prayers. Grace has touched so many lives and has only just started.

God is good all the time!!!!!!!
