What a whirl wind of a month- where to start. Grace has started
calling me daddy and it’s so sweet to hear walking in after a
long day at work. She even enjoys her sister Nicole (this has
been a real issue do to the fact that Grace would go out of her
way to be mean to her) but now it’s a different story; Nicole
has worked so hard to build a very special bond with her little
sister and it’s nice to watch them getting along. Cecily already
has a bonded well with Grace but is still being called mommy by
Grace (I have a feeling Grace does this to get a rise out of her
mother- it works every time). Mommy is the person Grace feels
more secure with; you can see this when she gets scared or
tired.
Grace is pretty stable now on her feet and still enjoys her
squeaky shoes. She does get mad if we don’t put on the squeaks
(her nick name is squeak). Grace only wants table food- what
every body else is eating, she will try new foods- if she eats
any more than the first bight depends on her likes. Grace love
spicy foods and chili is her favorite; she will eat oranges,
bananas and apples with peanut butter.
Grace is our girly girl, she likes her fingers and toes painted
and also loves to shop. Boy! does she love to shop. She gets in
the cloths section- might as well buckle down for the night, she
wants to try on everything and show you everything also.
On a good note- Grace was seen by a heart specialist and her
heart shows no sign as having a murmur. This is great news and
will be seen again in a year; we hope Grace won’t be screaming
at the top of her lungs for that one.
Grace is so precious when we pray- she will put her hands
together, bow her head and close her eyes for a few seconds.
It’s even more special at church- she sees others praying, Grace
assumes the position with out being told and will mumble
something sounding like amen. Music- as you can tell on drop
shots video, she enjoys dancing and will when ever she hears it.
In church her favorite time is listening to the choir sing and
will dance none stop till the end. She will be in her car seat
waving her arms and popping her head to the beat.
It’s so easy to tell others to listen to what God tells them
than to put this into practice.
We had to place all our faith in God in our adoption. I could
not see how we could pay for it and how we could get our
daughter so quickly. God will provide! It doesn’t mean it would
be easy and wouldn’t have any stress. God has blessed us with a
wonderful daughter and new friends who have made this journey
with us. Grace will be brought up in our faith and knowing who
her God is. God brought us such a long way in the year since we
started our adoption till now. It’s been a year; it’s so hard to
believe.
Thank you all for following and keep checking drop shots- we try
to add shots and videos each week even thou we only update this
site once a month.
On a last note - Brea W.
We will be keeping you in prayer each and every day. You will
always have a special place in our hearts and family. We are
looking forward to the day you are healed and running around so
we can get both these girls together again. Brea- your sister in
Christ and your friend from the orphanage miss you and takes
part in your prayer for you and your family. Please God- heal
this little one and use her for your glory.
Till the day we can get the three back together for a
reunion—John, Brea and Grace!
God be the glory!!!!! |

“The LORD your God is with you, he
is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you, he will
quiet you with his love,
he will rejoice over you with singing.”
