On September 12, 2006, the
Beicheng Police Station received a report that a baby had been
abandoned at The Affiliated Hospital of Luzhou Medical College.
Sophia was found by two policemen, Fan Changlei and Zhong
Guangxiang. She was taken to the Children’s Welfare Institute of
Luzhou City.
Sophia was born with a cleft lip, cleft palate, and an
imperforated anus. Her cleft lip and imperforated anus have been
repaired in China. Sophia had surgery to repair her imperforated
anus on September 22, 2006 at The Affiliated Hospital of Luzhou
Medical College. She was in the hospital for nine days before
she was discharged. She had her cleft lip surgery on March 19,
2007 at The Affiliated Hospital of Luzhou Medical College. She
was also in the hospital for nine days until she was discharged.
We will have her cleft palate repaired when we return home.
Sophia is a moderate sleeper. She wakes up at 6:00 AM and takes
an hour morning nap at 10:00 AM. She takes an hour nap at 2:00
PM and goes to bed at 9:30 PM. She eats breakfast at 7:00 AM,
lunch at 12:00 PM, and dinner at 6:00 PM.
Sophia is described as active and always has a ready smile. We
just love her beautiful smile. She loves to play games and play
with her toys. She especially loves her doll. She sits alone,
but can only stand for a moment without help. |
