On September 4, 2007 we received the much anticipated phone call announcing that we had been matched with our beautiful baby girl. We were told that we would receive an e-mail and package the next day with her photo and more detailed information. Time passed incredibly slowly until the next day when the e-mail finally arrived. No words can describe the joy we felt when we saw her picture for the first time; we were instantly in love.

According to the information we received, Sophie is currently residing at the Zhangshu City Social Welfare Institute in the Jiangxi province in China. She was born on January 16, 2007 and weighed approximately 7.7 pounds at birth and was approximately 19.7 inches in length. All of her medical records indicated that she is developing normally. Her information was updated on June 1, 2007 and at that time she was approximately 24.4 inches long and weighed approximately 15.4 pounds. Other information received states that she enjoys others company, laughs a lot, and is a lively girl.

God has blessed us beyond words and we want to praise him for this wonderful gift to our family.
