Our daughter was discovered at a police station at three months of age. At that time she was named Liu Shan Li, which has the following meaning – Liu – Surname; Shan – from “shanhu” meaning coral; Li – Beautiful

She was placed in the Chengdu Children's Welfare Institute. Fortunately, this orphanage is supported by USA Half the Sky Foundation whose Infant Care Program provides excellent care for their children.

Her last medical report was at 8 months at which time she was 25 inches tall and 18 lbs. She was actively crawling. She is described as chubby with big eyes and smiles often. She is clever and pretty. She is not shy with strangers and will not cry when meeting new people. She likes to be “adored” by people and held. She is interested in all toys, and enjoys being outdoors.
