In China
All Days  |  Previous Day  |  Next Day

Thursday, April 8, 2010

Hey everyone its Samantha writing the blog today for Thursday. Let’s just say we had a busy day today. This is how it started. Well, once I got up my mom made me put on a shirt that is now my favorite shirt that says “jie jie” which in Chinese means older sister. So after that and the yelling and the crying of grace my mom and I, all of us except my dad went to the white swan to get the red couch picture. (I bet you all know where my dad is going to the lounge). So, Grace hated the red couch. We tried to make her laugh and she would sit only with her bottle. You are going to love my sister Grace! Bye Samantha

Hi everyone,

Samantha is right we had a very busy day. We also went to the Pearl Market . We did not have a lot of time but we wanted to stop by to see what it was like. We bought Samantha beautiful fresh water pearl earrings for being such an amazing daughter and sister. Paul and I could not be more proud of the way she handled herself on this trip. She has been an amazing help to us and a wonderful big sister to Grace.

We had to meet Jack in the lobby at 230pm to head over to the Consulate for our Visa appt. We had to wait to hear Grace’s birth name called. We just walked in the door and we hear over the loud speaker, the parents of Zhang Qi Song please approach the window. We had to sign another set of papers and then take a seat along with 40 other families and wait for the final Oath. All families take the Oath together. You raise your right hand and swear all the information on all your Chinese paperwork is true and you will love and take care of your child. It was a touching moment for me. Finally , all the paperwork finished. Tomorrow we pick up Visa and leave on a train for Hong Kong.

We are having dinner at the Chinese restaurant and we are taking Emma with us. Meghan and Keith are packing for their departure tomorrow at 6am. Samantha is going to be sad to say goodbye to Emma they have become great friends the past 2 weeks. We are hoping to meet them over the summer for a day trip in Pennsylvania where Meghan sister lives.

Goodnight and next post will be from Hong Kong!!!!!

Love the Ciringione’s
