At approximately six months, Tia weighed 13.5 pounds and was 24.6 inches long. Her medical examination indicates that she is a healthy baby! The following is additional information we learned about Tia from her referral documents:

• Tia is a deep sleeper.
• She holds her head up while lying on her stomach and crawls on her hands and knees.
• She can locate the direction of sound/voice and laughs aloud.
• Tia is described as active, quick in reaction and having a ready smile!

On November 5, 2007, we received the long awaited referral call from our agency introducing our daughter. Words can’t describe the moment we received the wonderful news! Ben and I were both at work on that morning. We had planned ahead to have a “conference call” to receive the basic information about our daughter over the phone. My co-workers were perched outside my door with almost as much excitement as I had waiting to learn about Tia! Once we took the call, Ben and I went home to receive pictures of Tia via email. It was a long 2-hour wait. Once we finally saw Tia’s face, it was a wonderful moment of joy and excitement. Of course, we think she is the most beautiful baby!! She has sweet cheeks like her mommy! I have been told she looks like me; which thrills me beyond words!
