Along with our journey to Mylee, we are also in the process of adopting her big sister “Mimi.” Mia, who has been a big part of our lives since the day she was born, is JoJo's niece. From the moment we picked her up from the hospital at 2 days old, we were in love. Mia spent many weekends with us during the first year of her life and by the time she turned 2 she was living with us full time. Although the circumstances that she came to be a part of our family are unfortunate, we are truly blessed to have her in our lives. We have gone through so much during this process, but we know that all of the ups and downs will be worth it once we can finally exhale and enjoy our “first born.”

Through both Mia and Mylee’s adoption journeys, we never could have imagined that our family would grow in such different and special ways. Life has truly blessed us.
