Today was a busy day. We woke up at 5am (because we couldn’t
sleep) so we decided to get ready for the day and pack our
bags. We met the Kawada’s for breakfast at the
Intercontinental Hotel. We took one last quick walk along the
harbor and then checked out of the hotel. We again treated
ourselves by hiring the hotel’s car and driver to take us to
the airport. It was great way to end our short but enjoyable
visit in Hong Kong. We hope to one day come back here for
vacation when we have more time.
We met the 9 other Heartsent families at the airport. Everyone
was very excited to meet each other and to take the short
flight to Guangzhou. We checked into the Victory Hotel and
found an exciting surprise in our room, a crib! NOW it’s
getting REAL!! You could hear me and several other of the
families we are traveling with on our floor excitedly yelling
about the cribs in our rooms. Our whole travel group walked
over the White Swan Hotel and had our first dinner together.
It was very exciting to see all of the adoptive families
walking around with their new babies. I can’t believe that
TOMORROW it will finally be our turn!
We will be meeting our travel group at 3:30 pm and heading
over to the Civil Affairs Office where we will be meeting our
precious Mylee for the first time. I will write and post
pictures as soon as we are able to.
Thank you all who are following our journey and to those of
you who have taken time to post in the guestbook. Jojo and I
love reading the journal entries each night and they will be a
great addition to Mylee’s lifebook.
Love to you all from China!
*Mimi- Auntie Dris sent us your picture as a flowergirl in the
wedding. You look so beautiful and we are so proud of you! We
love you so much and can’t wait to come home so you can
finally meet sissy.
