Day 7 in China, woohoo!! Only 7 days left and then we’re on
our way home. The time really has flown by already.
Mylee is feeling better every day. Her personality is really
coming out. She won’t be quiet! Hmmm, I wonder where she gets
that from? Since she is still having a few issues in diaper
department (I can’t think of a nicer, less graphic way to put
it) we decided to skip the tour and hang out around the hotel.
We did some shopping in the many shops within a block from our
hotel. They are tiny stores and all cater to the adoptive
families. We had lots of fun picking out things for our two
girls. Mylee is so tiny that she really can’t fit anything
that they are selling off the rack, so we are having a couple
of dresses made for her and her big sister. We pick them up
tomorrow and can’t wait to see how they turn out.
I haven’t had the opportunity before to mention the hotel that
we are staying at, The White Swan. In the adoption community
it is known as the “White Stork” since many adoptive families
stay here while they wait to finalize their adoption paperwork
with the US Embassy which is located nearby. The hotel in
itself is beautiful!! There are several great restaurants, 2
beautiful pools, an indoor waterfall and koi pond, a pub and
arcade. Anything you could ever need in one location. We are
really roughing it here :0)
Tomorrow we may be going to a local Buddhist temple where
Mylee will receive a blessing. Although we are strong in our
faith, we welcome all blessings.
To our family, friends and to all that are following our
journey-
All of your prayers and well wishes for us and our new friends
that we’ve made during our travels have meant so much to us.
One of the favorite parts of our day is checking the website
to see who has left us messages. Mylee will truly treasure
these comments when she reads about our journey to become a
family.
Until tomorrow……
