"All children come from God
- for some the journey home just takes longer"~ Unknown
What a month! September has
been a flurry of activity in preparation for our son and our
next visit trip to Guatemala. We are so excited to be able to
see our little man. We will spend Thanksgiving there with Will.
Our arms are aching to hold him!
We are thrilled that our dear friends Pam and Richard will also
be traveling to Guatemala at the same time. They are also
adopting from China – that is how we met them! Their little girl
Isabel is waiting for them in Guatemala so they will be visiting
her. It will be great to have friendly faces around as we embark
on this most wonderful adventure.
We also finished Will’s nursery this month. It is still lacking
some details but we will get there. It is so much fun looking
for boy things. Will’s Daddy and his Grandpa Bo are both very
much into trains so when I saw the locomotive bedding, we had to
have it. All three generations have an Engineer hat and I
foresee many fun times working on Bo’s railroad in his backyard.
Other than the nursery and planning our trip, we have been busy
with work. I did get to go visit my parents in Augusta for a
week and will see them again in October. It is such a blessing
to be able to spend this precious time with them.
Please check in as we will update daily during our trip over
Thanksgiving. Please pray for safe travels and good health for
all of us. Pray for our little Will as we want his transition to
be as easy as possible. Pray for all of us as we will have to
leave our little boy in Guatemala upon our return . I know he is
excellent care with his Foster Mother but I am selfish and so
want him home where he belongs. Lastly, please pray for our
adoption process to go smoothly and quickly - I’m sure many of
you have heard of the issues with Guatemalan adoptions but we
believe that God is bigger than the US and Guatemala. If He
wants our boy with us, he will be.
