We signed and mailed our China
letter of acceptance to adopt Mei-Li on June 13 2012 ( Joy’s
Birthday - God’s birthday present). Mei-Li’s Chinese name is
Wang XiuRong. Wang is her given last name, while XuiRong is her
first name, which means Elegant Countenance. In late 2008/early
2009, Felice picked Mei-Li as our little girl’s name which means
beautiful, graceful. Keep in mind our daughter’s name was chosen
about a year before she was conceived (that‘s cool). She is
currently living in the Guangdong Province of China at the
Social Welfare Center of Dongguan City in Guangdong. She is
described as active, restless, fond of playing with toys,
smiles, get along with others, loves to play games and my
favorite: “Obstinate sometimes”.
We dedicate God’s promises to our daughter:
“I am your creator. You were in my care
even before you were born.” -Isaiah 44:2
"I will not leave you orphans. I will
come to you." ~John 14:18
“For I know the plans I have for you,”
declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you ,
plans to give you hope and a future.” ~Jeremiah 29:11
