Q. Do I need previous web design experience or advanced computer knowledge to pursue this?

A. Not at all. We create and maintain your web site from start to finish. You simply need a digital camera, an email account and access to a computer while in China. When you email us, you may submit your journal entries and pictures any way that you like. Most of our families simply type their journals into a Word document and attach their pictures to the same email. We do not require you to send the information in any preset form or template. Nobody wants your updates to be received and posted in a timely manner more than us! We will work with you and answer any questions you may have prior to travel and even while you are in China. We want your family and friends to share your beautiful experience from start to finish and will happily answer any and all questions you may have.
 

Q. How do I send emails from China?

A. The ease to which you will be able to email photos from China depends on your location. Most hotels in the larger cities offer state-of-the-art business centers that make sending emails fairly easy. Many hotel rooms are also equipped with high-speed in-room internet access to accommodate those traveling with a laptop. Even if you are not taking a laptop, others in your travel group may be willing to share theirs. On our journey, we used our personal laptop from our room to communicate with family and friends, but also had the option of using internet services provided by the business center in each of our hotels. We happily allowed others in our group to email photos of their children to family and friends from our laptop. Most families spend their final days (sometimes up to a week) at the White Swan Hotel, which is fully-equipped with easy internet access.
 


Q. When is the best time to place an order?

A. The "best" time to place an order varies from family to family. For those wishing to share their new personal website with family and friends within hours of receiving their referral pictures and information, then placing an order at least three weeks in advance will allow us to create the site ahead of time and add pictures and text on referral day. You may also choose to launch your site months prior to referral in order to share your journey preparations with family and friends. No matter when you wish to begin, even after you receive your referral, we are ready to build your beautiful web pages quickly and professionally.
 


Q. What if I am not able to send photos from China?

A. No problem. When you return home, simply email us your photos and personal journals as soon as possible and we will place them in your web site in the same way as if you had sent them during your trip.
 


Q. How many updates may I send from China?

A. The website packages include up to 15 in-China updates.  In each update, you may submit any number of words and up to six photos.  You may also purchase additional photos for your updates.
 


Q. Is there a limit as to how long my journals may be?

A. No. Feel free to submit as many words as you'd like.
 


Q What about picture captions?

A. When you send us your text and photos, we invite you to also include captions for the pictures that you submit.
 


Q. How soon will my personal journals and photos be posted to my web site once I email them?

A. Most updates are posted within a few hours, and always within 12 hours, including updates received on the weekend.

 

Q. Will banners or any other advertising for other businesses appear on my site?

A. No. We do not sell advertising space on any of our clients web sites.

 

Q. What methods of payment do you accept?

A. Invoices are sent via PayPal.  You can pay using PayPal, or by personal check.
 

Q. Must I have a PayPal account to place an order through Paypal?

A. No. PayPal makes it easy to checkout without having to set up a new account or login to an existing account.

Q. If I choose the additional months of hosting, how will I be billed?

A. Each website package includes two We're Home updates.  After that, you may choose for us to continue to host your site.  Additional updates, usually sent monthly or bi-monthly, are $10 apiece.
 

Q. Do you share personal information with other marketers?

A. Absolutely not! None of the personally identifiable information submitted through Paypal or directly to us will ever be shared with other marketers.
