Today was a free day. We spent time wandering around the hotel
and grounds, making a trip to the grocery store with our guide
to pick up some last minute things for Gracie, and organizing
our rooms in preparation for the “big day” tomorrow.
It is now around 10:00 P.M., and we are extremely tired. Sophia
and Deidra are already in bed fast asleep. I will not be long in
heading that way.
The day before a “Gotcha Day” has to be the most surreal day of
the entire adoption process. It is finally here. You wait and
wait, and finally soon you can go receive your child. On this
Eve of Gotcha Day for Grace Cheng Mei, I can’t help but wonder
what she might be thinking at this moment. Does she know that we
love her? Does she know that we are so close by? Does she know
that God loves her, too? Maybe some of the questions can be
answered tomorrow! |

Our guide John. We are really enjoying talking to him. Here he
is at the grocery store. This is like an escalator for shopping
carts.
