Friday-Sunday, March 4-6, 2016 What a trip! We left Houston at 7:35am on Friday and arrived in Chongqing about 11pm on Saturday. Makes for a very long day! We arrived at our hotel about midnight. We are staying at the beautiful Le Meridien Hotel in downtown Chongqing. When looking out the window in our room all you can see are 30 story tall apartment buildings. Our guide, Michael, took us on a little tour of the surrounding area this morning (Sunday). He pointed out the places where it is safe to have ice in your drinks, as well as restaurants where the food is milder (Chongqing is known for spicy food) for us wimpy Americans (my phrase, not his). We met the other Lifeline family who is here to get their little boy and had dinner with them at a local Hong Kong style restaurant. Looking forward to getting Nicole tomorrow! Please be in prayer for her! She is leaving everything she has ever known and this could be very scary for her!
