Hi From Shanghai,
We made it !! So happy to be off the airplane. Samantha was
great - we had TV's right in front of us with 300 movies to
pick from. I think we watched 4 or 5 movies - 14 hour flight
is very long and the movies were a great way to kill time.
It took a while to get thru customs and we had to wait a bit
for our luggage so we did not get to our hotel till 4:00pm.
Our hotel is very nice and about 1 hour from the airport. WE
will return to the airport tomorrow for a 12:00 flight to
Nanchang where we hope to meet Grace in the late afternoon.
Lots of cars on the road in Shanghai as well as bicycles and
mopeds. Most people I saw were not even wearing helmets - even
with children on the back as a passenger. Lots of tall buildings
and homes where people hang all their clean laundry from their
windows to dry.
We were hoping to go for a nice dinner tonight
but Samantha has already fallen asleep and Paul is not far
behind
her.
